DIVERSITY stands for variety. This is a key word explaining my attitude to the work of a translator who moves in the interdisciplinary world of translation. I believe that it is the diversity of ideas, the richness of vocabulary and openness to diverse concepts that together with talent, appropriate qualifications and skillful use of translation tools make us good translators.

Because DIVERSITY is not a translation agency, your order will not go to an anonymous subcontractor with unknown qualifications, while the money for the service will not be absorbed by an agency often focused solely on maximizing profits at the expense of wages for a translator, and, consequently, at the expense of quality.

Direct contact with a client allows the translator to provide a friendly helpful service with personal touch in every order. With a view to doing the job well, the translator has to know the context of a translation. Therefore, a translation brief is developed for every order to determine the function a translated text is to perform, future recipients of the translation and the form in which the text is intended to function. All these elements are essential in the translation process and ensure that clients receive texts meeting their expectations.

The interdisciplinary nature of translation that is essential in various areas of human activity requires translators to be able to work in any translation situation, irrespective of whether we are dealing with an instruction manual for a food processor, scientific work on the derivatives of triphenylphosphine, or a new tourism brochure. Talent as well as openness and curiosity about the world together with humility and perseverance make us capable of coping with such a wide range of tasks.

The above features are not enough to become a good translator who will not betray your trust. A professional translator needs, in addition to talent and language competence, both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of translation. Completing an English Studies programme was only the beginning of my great adventure with translation. Studying an MA in Translation Studies at Aston University in England I had a chance to meet prominent theorists of translation. It was then that I explored translation as a field of science. Studies at the prestigious School of Translation, Interpreting and Languages at Adam Mickiewicz University allowed me to learn translation profession from some of the best professional translators in Poland.

In my daily work I not only use different language corpora but also create, using an appropriate programme, my own collections of specialized texts, so my translations sound natural, they have the right style and register and contain accurate and, above all, coherent terminology.

Modern CAT tools designed to support and facilitate translation are an essential element of my work. By means of a special computer software a terminology database is built to ensure consistency of style and terminology for separate clients and projects.

All of the above elements guarantee the highest quality of translation services offered by DIVERSITY. Moreover, each translation undergoes a quality control process before it reaches a client. Texts are verified and validated both on a linguistic (in terms of style, syntax, lexis) and technical (proper formatting, completeness of orders) level.
